Why was Seylec created?

|
| Seylec Ambulance fleet support for all makes and models of emergency vehicle |

Why would you need Seylec?
Seylec was started by Shaun Morgan in April 2007 to find solutions to unusual electrical requirements and problems.
With over 25 years experience in power systems with manufacturers around the World, Shaun has a very high success rate
in fault finding and supply of unusual spares and repairs. Key to Seylec's expanding reputation has been
the quick response to call outs and free telephone technical support to customers. Over Christmas and New
Year 2008, Seylec repaired over 60 Ambulances around the UK, all calls were responded to with in 24 hours as far north as
Scarborough, through Wales and down to Kent. Although Seylec are the sole UK technical support for the
Synergie (Mercura) multiplex control, support can be offered on Carnation and many other control systems used in emergency
vehicles along with most manufacture and designs of battery charging product. Our philosphy is that the Emergency Services
support the UK and Seylec's priority is to support the Emergency Services.

Why is Seylec different?
There are a lot of Emergency vehicles in use today, newer vehicles have more complex circuits and larger power systems.
You can find some well thought of multiplex (Canbus) control systems that will operate everything on your
vehicle, but who do you turn to for support if your system is out of warranty or a couple of years old? Who can
give you independant analysis of battery or charge system failure? Even on new systems who can show you, your workshops
and operators how they work?
Seylec can!

As an Electrical company, how do you offer full vehicle conversions and mechanical engineering?
Due to the high success rate of repairs and specialist system designs, customers started to ask us to do complete new
vehicle conversions.
As we are trained as electrical engineers, we looked for companies experienced in the fields and skill sets we did not
have. In the start of 2009 we entered into partnerships with a local Volvo approved accident repair shop for all of our
customers vehicle cosmetic modifications and for our mechanical work, we joined forces with a Fork lift company who are used
to engineering, hydrolics and heavy duty power system/lifting.
This gave us years of practical experience that we can now channel and offer to our customers, this can
be anything ranging from mounting vehicle decals to rebuilding Ambulance air suspension.

About Shaun Morgan
Shaun Morgan has worked in the electronics market all his working life, after leaving school he started work in the
Research and Development Lab of Tadmod (Selmar) which was then the UKs largest transformer manufacturer. After 12 years
with the company he had worked up to Technical Sales and Marketing Manager for all of their battery charging, power supply
and injection moulded product made both in the UK and China generating high volume sales from all over the World. When
he left Tadmod, he went on to be a Senior Manager/Director of several high volume manufacturing companies based in Hong Kong,
Australia and Europe but always had a hands on approach to solving problems for customers or on the manufacturing shop floor.

As Shaun's family life changed, he looked for a UK position. Shaun joined Antares (Europe) Ltd, a manufacturer
of specialist charger and control equipment primarily for the Emergency services. This was a big change for
Shaun, instead of working for companies making millions of power supplies and chargers per month over several time zones,
Antares made low volume, ruggedized product for the UK market. Shaun admits himself that after working with
huge blue chip companies like Motorola, Black and Decker, Yamaha and Sony where a cent on a product could make or break
a Million dollar deal, specialist power products had emphasis on long term reliability and durability which
made cost secondary to the fact that it is critical the product would not fail under harsh environments. This
was a completely different market, but shaun noticed that although their were a few companies making special equipment,
no one was out in the field to specifically support, offer training, service and repair for these costly products
after their Warranty had run out. In most instances, the lifespan of the vehicle was greater than the warranty on the equipment
by a couple of years. On this logic, Shaun created Seylec (Seychelles Electrical) and its first two years up
to 2009, has worked on almost 700 vehicles.

A majority of the fault finding is undertaken by Shaun who is now often called 'The Ambulance Electrician'
by Emergency services around the UK. He is factory trained by many vehicle converters and different manufacturers
on Multiplex systems, signal lighting and chargers, he has a multitude of qualifications ranging from Test and Inspection
(including PAT testing) through to C&G 17th edition wiring regs. This combined with almost 25 years of design, manufacture,
technical sales and support has resulted in Seylec offering real solutions to problems, not offering the latest gimmick on
the market, replacing products just to make money or selling an item that is over stocked, but offering solutions
to meet customers real requirments.
